What is a conversation?

Conversations are message threads between you and your customers. Conversations can last up to 24-hours and must be initiated by you (business-initiated) or your customers (user-initiated). Customers can initiate a conversation by sending you any type of message, but you can only initiate a conversation with a template message. There are four types of conversations. There are three business-initiated conversation categories.

  • Marketing Conversation
  • Utility Conversation
  • Authentication Conversation

When does the 24hour window start in a conversation?

For a business-initiated conversation, 24-hour window starts when the first template message from a business is delivered. For a business-initiated conversation, 24-hour window starts when a users messages and the you as a business responds to it. The message should be in the “delivered” status and not in the “sent” status.

What are the free entry point conversations?

If a conversation is initiated by a user through Facebook CTA's or Ads that click to WhatsApp they are termed as free entry point conversations.When a free entry point conversation is open, All the messages or templates sent within the three - day(72h), it is free of cost.,
